It was a display of a admixture of different Ghanaian societies of cans and dance as Juabenre-enacted its traditional roots to culminate a time-long festivity of 50 times of Nana Otuo Siriboe II as the Omanhene of Juaben Traditional area.
The reenactment covered every aspect of the lives of the people of Juaben connecting the spiritual and supernatural powers through music, cotillion and the serving of traditional win wine to drink guests.
But it was the entry of Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to the Adu Boahene Memorial Park that brought everyone onto their bases with his immaculate performance.
Otumfuo sat in his palanquin heralded by a large crowd performing different functions as the Asante king displayed intermittent adowa cotillion to the admiration of the crowd.
From the consummate chief of Talensi, Tongraan Kugbilsong Nanlebegtang, through to the Volta region and indeed political actors flocked the venue to celebrate the man trained by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as an electrical mastermind.
He worked compactly with the Electricity Company of Ghana at age 26.
Also known as Peter Amponsah but born Odehyee Yaw Boakye, the Omanhene took the pledge of office on September 13, 1971, in front of his relations in Juaben.
Appreciation
The Juabenhene, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, expressed appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for giving his golden festival festivity an transnational"flavour"by coming on with the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.
He praised the President for giving his administration great support by furnishing introductory structure.
From the external assembly structure to the structure of a new circuit court complex, the Juabenhene was overwhelmed by the support he has entered from President Akufo-Addo.
Offspring
The Juabenhene proposed to save some of the good societies for offspring including hard work, respect and modesty.
President Akufo-Addo saluted Nana Otuo Siriboe for his unique leadership style.
He expressed the stopgap that the coming times of his rule should bring tremendous change to the people of Juaben.
The two chairpersons, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Cyril Ramaphosa concertedly doled out GHS100, towards the festivity.
