Yellowstone Season 5 Teaser: It's time for everyone to meet the Duttons.

If you're a fan of Taylor Sheridan's (Wind River, Hell or High Water, Sicario) Yellowstone but didn't watch tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, you missed a very intense teaser for the show's return on November 13th for its fifth season. But that wasn't the only good news.

Paramount Network had a Labor Day marathon (starting at 11 a.m. ET/PT on Friday, September 2, and going through Monday, September 5), which helped everyone catch up. Now, here's a list of who's coming back and who's joining the cast, along with a sneak peek at what's to come.

Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, and Gil Birmingham are all in the Emmy-nominated series. Mo Brings Plenty, Wendy Moniz, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly have also been made regulars on the show.

Josh Lucas will be back as young John Dutton in the next season, along with Jacki Weaver, Kylie Rogers, and Kyle Red Silverstein. Kai Caster, Lainey Wilson, Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri will also be part of the show's impressive cast. Here's what the teaser looks like that came out earlier today:

Yellowstone was made by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. It is about the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who runs the largest cattle ranch in the United States that is all connected. With changing alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-won respect, the ranch is always at odds with its neighbors, which include a growing town, an Indian reservation, and fierce business rivals.

Yellowstone was written by Sheridan, who was nominated for an Oscar, and Linson. Sheridan, Costner, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, and Stephen Kay are among the producers who are in charge. The season four premiere of the show on the Paramount Network was the highest-rated show on cable, with over 14 million people watching (with the season four finale drawing over 10 million viewers).

In a profile for Variety, Sheridan talked about what inspires him creatively and what he thinks about the new wave of "Neo-Westerns":

On His Western Influences: "I was very influenced by writers like Cormac McCarthy, Larry McMurtry, and Toni Morrison, who wrote about the time around the Civil War, which is obviously very similar themes. It has a lot of Western vibes. And "Unforgiven," which I saw when I was in my late teens or early 20s, was one of the movies that changed me. The same goes for "Dances With Wolves," which looks at the Western genre in a way that has never been done before.

On the New Wave of Neo-Westerns Inspired by "Yellowstone" Being Flattering: "So I don't know if it's flattering, because I don't think they're doing it because "Yellowstone" is good. Because 15 million people watch it, they do it. "A lot of people watch Westerns," they say. Let's make Westerns.
