The Anglican Communion of Ghana and the British High Commission in Ghana put on a Thanksgiving Service on Friday at the Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Accra. The service was in memory of Queen Elizabeth II, who died last year.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff Madam Frema Opare, British High Commissioner to Ghana Harriet Thompson, and Chief of Gbese Nii Ayi Bonte II, who was with his elders and Queen mothers, all went to the two-hour ceremony.
In addition to the Thanksgiving Service, there was a lively display of Ga culture with dance, drumming, and musket firing.
