Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), whose father, James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), has died, is shown in Power Book II: Ghost. Together with his best friend Brayden Weston, Tariq has been building a drug business like his father (Gianni Paolo).
Now that Season 3 of Ghost is coming up, Paolo is giving hints about what will happen in the next season.
Season 3 of "Power Book II: Ghost" is going to be scary.
Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 was filmed for eight long months, but it is finally done. Fans have been waiting for Tariq and his crew to come back sometime this fall. Now, we have a better idea of what to expect.
"For different reasons, there will be rifts between Tariq and his friends," Power Universe creator Courtney Kemp told Entertainment Weekly. "And then those things will cause some cracks to appear in the Tejada family. There will be a series of earthquakes, followed by a series of aftershocks that will shake the foundation and change the series in a big way. Season 3 is over."
Season 3 hints can be found on Gianni Paolo's Instagram.
Even though most of the cast is keeping quiet about what comes next, Paolo posted some pictures from the set on Instagram to let people know that the season is over. If you look closely, you can find a lot of clues in those photos.
"S3 wrap. "The episodes are done for real," he wrote in the caption.
In the first picture, he posed in a building at Stansfield University with the showrunner, a crew member, the director, Rainey, and Alix Lapri, who plays Effie Morales. Brayden's father took him out of school at the end of season 1, but it looks like he's back. In the second picture, Rainey and Paolo were sleeping. Fans thought that they might both be doing an internship because of how they dressed.
In another photo, there were three watch-wearing wrists. We think those are Paolo, Rainey, and Lapri. But since Brayden and Effie are keeping a secret from Tariq, we don't think they'll be able to stay together for long.
Season 3 of "Power Book II: Ghost" could pave the way for a spinoff set in London.
Starz finally said that Power Book V: Influence, which was supposed to follow New York City Councilman Rashad Tate's (Larenz Tate) run for governor, will not happen. They had been quiet about this for a while. But it looks like there's something else wrong in the Power Universe.
Deadline says that Starz is making a Power series that will take place in London. Kathryn Busby, who is in charge of programming for Starz, would neither confirm nor deny the rumors. "I can't answer anything about that, but what we love about Power is that it can be spun off successfully, which we have already done," she said. "Which we would love to do again in theory. I'm glad you can hear it."
Now, fans think that a new Ghost character, Obi, could make a spinoff possible. In season 3, Obi will be played by Kyle Vincent Terry. Deadline says that Obi is "a young man who went to school in Britain and knows his way around both a gun and a boardroom."
We'll have to wait and see how everything turns out.
