The Western Regional Minister has responded to the news that his driver is said to have stolen money from a "galamsey" scheme.
Gh One TV reported earlier that the driver had gone to Ivory Coast with the huge amount of GHS17 million.
But Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah has called the media house's bluff by saying that the report hurts his reputation.
He said that he is still committed to protecting the natural resources in his area and that he would not make money from galamsey or anything related to it.
He also said that the news story was a rumor made up by people who didn't like him to hurt his reputation and make him look like someone he wasn't.
Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah also said that after talking to his lawyers, he would be ready to go up against GhOne TV or EIB Network.
"I will take the right steps to fix the implication in the news alert after getting advice from my lawyers."
