See the twins who played Carrie on "Little House on the Prairie" now that they are 52.

LINDSAY AND SIDNEY GREENBUSH, WHO USED TO BE ON THE TV SHOW CHILD, GOT OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT NOT LONG AFTER THE SHOW FINISHED.

The famous 1970s TV show Little House on the Prairie, which was based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, showed Carrie, the youngest daughter of the Ingalls family, growing up. But because the "actor" playing Carrie was listed as "Lindsay Sidney Greenbush" in the opening credits, many fans didn't know that the child was played by two different people: Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush, who were twin sisters and shared the role for all eight seasons of Little House.

Lindsay and Sidney Bush were the children of actor Billy Green Bush. It seemed like acting was in their blood, but they left the business soon after their time on the show ended in 1982. Read on to find out where their lives have taken them since then and what they look like now that they are 52 years old.

They never worked together again.

Like other acting twins, Lindsay (who is also known by her full name, Rachel Lindsay) and Sidney always played the same role before and during their time on Little House. But after the show ended, each sister got a few more acting jobs, but they never had the same part again.

Sidney had a small part in the movie Hambone and Hillie, which came out in 1983 and also starred Lillian Gish, Candy Clark, Timothy Bottoms, and O.J. Simpson. Lindsay was in an episode of the ABC crime show Matt Houston that same year. Before they stopped acting to finish high school, the two also worked together in commercials.

Even though their actor father worked well into the 1990s, Lindsay and Sidney stayed out of the spotlight for the most part.

Lindsay went to college for a short time after she graduated from high school in Santa Monica. Then, in 1993, she moved to Taos, New Mexico. According to her IMDB bio, she later moved back to California and got a degree in accounting. She has also worked as a horse trainer, since she grew up riding horses and competing in show jumping events. In an interview with the Little House fan podcast Walnut GroveCast in 2018, it was said that she now owns a horse that her sister Sidney used to ride in professional rodeos. She also hasn't stopped acting. In 2018, she and her former Little House co-star Alison Arngrim were in a production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues with a lot of famous people (Nellie Oleson). Lindsay said in the same podcast that she would like to keep working in the theater.

Lindsay has been married twice, but not to Katlynn Danae's father, who gave birth to her in 1995. She got married to Frank Dornan in 2001, but they got a divorce a few years later. On the set of Little House, Lindsay met the man she would marry.

She later remarried, and that marriage was based on a friendship she made while filming Little House. Home & Family on the Hallmark Channel said in an interview that her future husband Danny Sanchez, who was 14 at the time, wasn't an actor but liked to hang out on the set of the series at the Big Sky Movie Ranch near his home in Simi Valley, California. They met while Lindsay was taking a break from filming Season 5's "The Wolves." She was sitting under an oak tree.

When the two ran into each other again in 2012 and started dating, a childhood meeting that would have likely been forgotten took on new meaning. They got married in 2014, right under the oak tree where they'd first met. In 2015, the former actor posted pictures of the event on Twitter, with the familiar tree in the middle.

Sidney keeps to himself more.

Sidney doesn't talk about her life as much in public—not she's even on social media—but we know that she still loves horses like she did when she was a child. She went to Pierce College in Los Angeles to get a degree in animal science. Her sister told Walnut GroveCast in an interview that she went on to become a rodeo performer and competitive barrel jumper. In an interview with The Malibu Times in 2015, Sidney said that he had also worked as an administrator in the residential construction industry and taken up amateur boxing. According to a 2011 Today segment about the Little House reunion, she worked with the Kid Gloves Boxing Foundation to teach at-risk kids how to box to keep them off the streets.

From 2000 to 2009, Sidney was married to vet and horse breeder William "Rocky" Foster. He died the same year, and she didn't seem to get married again.

They recently got back together with the cast of "Little House."

Both of the Ingalls sisters seem happy to think back on their time on Little House on the Prairie. They have been to fan events and gotten together with other cast members who are still alive. The last time they were on screen together was in a 2021 episode of Stars in the House, a live-streamed reunion show that brought back the casts of old TV shows, movies, and plays to raise money for The Actors Fund.
