The American author Laura Ingalls Wilder's writings served as the inspiration for a large portion of the television series Little House on the Prairie.

The 'Albert' actor started out on 'Little House' in a completely different role.Although Matthew Labyorteaux played Albert Ingalls in the Little House series, audiences first met him in a different capacity.

Labyorteaux claimed, "I actually portrayed Michael Landon as a little lad. "In flashbacks to his early years, when his father becomes ill, he boards a train and returns home to see how his mother and father are doing. He kind of thinks back on his youth during the train travel.The actor claimed that there was yet another episode in which Charles Ingalls reflects on his formative years.

He said, "Michael composed another programme called "I Remember, I Remember," which was a different kind of flashback to Pa Ingalls' youth. "But that's where Ma and Pa met. 

With the two young people having crushes on one another, meeting for the first time, and witnessing what they would eventually become, it was simply a wonderful, tender, great episode.There never was a real Albert Ingalls.Albert didn't actually exist in Laura Ingalls Wilder's 18th-century universe, as it turns out. He was finally welcomed into the Ingalls family in the episode "As Long As We're Together (Part 1)" after his appearance.

For a crucial reason, he was a character that Michael Landon developed for the show."Albert was the result of a very personal tragedy for Michael and his family," said Melissa Gilbert.

They had a close circle of pals. The firstborn child of Eleanor and Ray was named Albert. Apparently, Albert, who was around 18 or 19 years old at the time, had been killed when he was struck by a car while cycling home in the evening. 

Albert Ingalls was invented by Michael as an homage to Albert Muscatele.After Little House, Labyorteaux had a busy career, particularly as a voice actor. He also had a sibling who was in the cast. He has provided the voiceovers for a number of video games, including "Star Wars," "Next Gen," "Thrillville," and ".hack."Additionally, he has provided voices for the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Pokémon television series.

In Little House, his brother Patrick Labyorteaux played Andrew, the son of the Ingalls' close neighbours and friends Jonathan and Alice Garvey.
