Armed robbers shot and killed a security guard at a Total gas station in Suhum, Eastern Region.
The terrible event took place on October 30, a Monday.
It was raining when the five robbers, all on foot, stormed into the gas station at 6:43 p.m. They went into the store and faced Kwasi Agbeti, a.k.a. Killer, the security guard.
Agbeti was attacked by the thieves with sticks, and when he attempted to run away from the store, they shot him very near.
Along with shooting the fuel station supervisor in his office, the robbers fled with an undisclosed sum of money. Additionally, they ambushed a tanker driver who had just arrived to dump fuel, stealing GH¢1000 and his cell phone.
In a customer's car, Agbeti was taken to the hospital but passed away before they could get him. The Eastern Regional Hospital is now treating the supervisor.
In the last two weeks, there have been three robberies in the Suhum area. To start their investigations into the incident, police and agents from the National Investigation Bureau arrived at the spot.
Dansoa Margaret, Agbeti's sister, urged the Inspector General of Police to make sure her family receives justice in an interview with Citi News.
