Sam Heughan has promptly resumed work following the conclusion of the recent Sag-Aftra strike in Hollywood.
Yesterday, we reported that the Scots star expressed his happiness regarding the news of the 'tentative' agreement between the US actors union and studio bosses, which ended the historic 118-day official action.
The union, representing approximately 160,000 industry members, went on strike on July 14, resulting in significant disruptions to Hollywood productions. Yesterday, Sam, who portrays Jamie Fraser in Outlander, graciously shared an update with fans, expressing his joy at returning to the set as filming for the final season of Outlander commences.
In addition to the upcoming release of the second part of Outlander series seven next year, Sam is also involved in other projects. These include his new series of Men In Kilts alongside Graham McTavish, as well as a new Channel 4 drama called The Couple Next Door, featuring Eleanor Tomlinson.
Today, Sam graciously shared some behind the scenes snaps from the most recent series of Outlander. The series was divided into two parts, with the second instalment set to hit screens next year. Outlander, a Starz production, had to pause its production and promotion in Scotland due to the strike.
