Netflix has released a delightful collection of first-look images showcasing Penelope and Colin's blossoming romance in the highly anticipated third season of 'Bridgerton'.
Season 3 will focus on 'Romancing Mister Bridgerton,' which is the fourth book in Julia Quinn's series.
In the third season, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) decides to let go of her long-standing infatuation with Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) upon discovering his hurtful remarks about her in the previous season.
She has, however, made the decision to find a husband who can offer her the necessary independence to maintain her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters.
Penelope's attempts on the marriage mart unfortunately fail spectacularly, despite her best efforts. Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a fresh appearance and a confident demeanour.
However, he feels discouraged to discover that Penelope, the individual who consistently valued him for who he was, is now ignoring him. In an effort to repair their friendship, Colin kindly proposes to guide Penelope in building her self-assurance, with the aim of assisting her in finding a suitable husband this season.
However, as Colin's lessons begin to yield unexpected results, he finds himself facing the challenge of determining the nature of his feelings towards Penelope - are they truly platonic? Adding to Penelope's challenges is her strained relationship with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has unexpectedly formed a new friendship.
Additionally, Penelope's increasing involvement in high society makes it increasingly challenging to maintain her secret identity as Lady Whistledown.
