Nana Kwame Bediako, the man behind the New Force movement, recently led a delegation to visit John Mahama, the 2024 National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer.
The visit follows the unexpected cancellation of 'The Convention 2024' event, which was originally planned to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The event aimed to gather influential African thought leaders such as Professor PLO Lumumba, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao from Zimbabwe, and Peter Obi, along with South African's Julius Malema, the founder and leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters. They came together to discuss the significant challenges facing the continent's development.
After the conference was cancelled, the businessman, who goes by the name Freedom Jacob Ceasar, announced his presidential ambition.
He presented himself as a potential leader who could bring positive change to Ghana and the African continent.
It is unclear what the purpose of his visit to the former President was.
People online have shared a variety of opinions after Nigerian journalist and politician, Dele Momodu, posted pictures from the visit on X, formerly known as Twitter.
There are those who have expressed support for his candidature, while others have suggested that he should consider supporting Mr Mahama in the 2024 election.
