Netflix has graciously granted the go-ahead for Virgin River Season 6, a renewal that was kindly announced by Tudum prior to the release of Season 5 Part 2.
The release date is not yet confirmed due to recent strikes causing delays, but production is underway as confirmed by the show's official Instagram account.
While the casting details for Season 6 have not been officially disclosed, there is anticipation that Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson will reprise their roles as the main characters.
The returning cast members for the upcoming season include Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Sarah Dugdale, Jenny Cooper, Zibby Allen, Marco Grazzini, Lauren Hammersley, Mark Ghanimé, Kai Bradbury, Teryl Rothery, Nicola Cavendish, Stacey Farber, Gwynyth Walsh, Chase Petriw, Barbara Pollard, Kandyse McClure, and David Cubitt.
Season 6 will focus on Jack and Mel's journey towards parenthood. Patrick Sean Smith, the showrunner, subtly suggested that the season will begin by showcasing the construction of Jack and Mel's house and barn, giving viewers a sneak peek into what lies ahead for them.
The storyline will also explore Lizzie's pregnancy, Brie and Mike's relationship, and the aftermath of the wildfires that revealed a body, presumably belonging to Paige's abusive ex-husband Wes.
The preacher's moral convictions will face a significant challenge, while a time jump is expected to maintain the narrative's continuity.
